Kennels Health and Nutrition
At Crowbank Kennels & Cattery, we understand that your dog’s health and happiness depend on proper nutrition and care. Our boarding facilities cater to individual dietary needs, whether you bring your own food - dry or wet - or choose from our quality options. We also administer medications with precision and require up‑to‑date vaccinations for every guest. Read on to discover our feeding guidelines, support services and vaccination policies. Our own vet is available 24 hours a day for emergencies.
Feeding
At Crowbank, we care about your dog’s well-being, which is why we recommend bringing your dog’s own food. With so many different brands and ingredients, we cannot guarantee our food will meet your dog’s dietary needs or taste preferences. By bringing your dog’s food, you ensure they receive the same nutrition and taste they’re used to at home, reducing the risk of digestive upset.
For dry food, please bring pre-portioned bags to ensure consistent serving sizes. It is also a good idea to bring extra food in case of travel delays or unexpected weight loss. If your dog is staying for an extended period, please let us know in advance so we can discuss food storage options.
Of course, we offer high-quality wet and dry dog food options if you prefer not to bring your own. We’ll do everything we can to ensure your dog has a happy, healthy stay with us.

Cooked & Frozen Foods
While we encourage owners to bring their pet’s familiar food, we have some restrictions on what we can accommodate. If you feed your dog a home-cooked diet, we can store and serve pre-cooked meals – storage is limited, so please contact us before boarding to discuss arrangements.
However, we do not have facilities to store frozen raw food or prepare raw meals. If your dog is on a raw diet, please contact us in advance to discuss possible alternatives, such as high-quality long-life wet foods.
Medications
If your dog requires medication, we are happy to administer it as needed. All medications must be in their original packaging with a legible veterinary label showing your pet’s name, dosage, and administration instructions. We will confirm doses and methods with you at check-in.
Most oral and topical medications are administered at no extra cost. More complex treatments — such as daily injections, wound care, or post-operative support — may incur a small additional fee. For diabetic dogs, please provide insulin, syringes, and a sharps bin for safe disposal. Please notify us in advance so we can prepare appropriately.

Required Vaccination
To protect the health of every guest, we require all dogs to be fully vaccinated before boarding. Mandatory vaccinations include:
- Annual boosters covering: Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis
- Kennel Cough (Bordetella) — this must be specifically requested from your vet and given at least 7 days before arrival
Proof of vaccination must be provided at check-in. You may bring your physical vaccination record or upload an image via our online check-in form.
If you arrive without an up-to-date vaccination card, we will not be able to accept your pet, and, under our Terms & Conditions of Service, you may still be charged the full boarding fees.
All dogs must be treated for worms, ticks and fleas using vet-prescribed treatments, administered at least 7 days before check-in.
Secure Your Dog’s Place in Expert Care
We have access to 24-hour on-call veterinary service, giving you complete peace of mind while your dog is with us.
Booking is simple and can be completed online in minutes — but spaces fill quickly, so we recommend reserving early to secure your dog’s place.
